 Through our long time partnership
with our customer, we developed
a family of plastic pistons to
replace aluminum air ride suspension
components. |

Glass reinforced Nylon 6/6 was
selected using for strength and
improved chemical/corrosion resistance.
We use computer aided engineering and
mold flow analysis to ensure the product
meets specifications the first time.
The nylon part met all specifications and
provided a 33% cost reduction and 25%
weight savings. This allowed our customer
to move from a 60% market share to
controlling 95% of the North American
